Student and Postdoc travel awards will be available for the 2017 IBNS Annual Meeting, to be held at the Grand Prince Hotel, Hiroshima, Japan, June 26 - 30, 2017. Undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral students are eligible to apply if they are members of IBNS. Login/password are required to submit an application. New to IBNS? Please allow 4-6 business days for your membership application to be approved. Women, minorities, and international members are encouraged to apply.
Travel award applicants will be judged based on criteria specific to their level of training. In addition, travel costs will be taken into consideration in determining the final amount of the award. Travel Award recipients will be required to present a poster as well as participate in a slide blitz session. Award recipients will be required to attend the entire meeting.
Travel Award application deadline is January 23, 2017.
After completing the text boxes on the online application you will be asked to upload the following items in a SINGLE PDF file. To facilitate processing your application should include in the following order:
• abstract for the meeting with the applicant as the first author • curriculum vita • A one page personal statement describing your goals in behavioral neuroscience and how attending the IBNS meeting will enrich your training • support letter from your advisor, program director or chair which includes a description of the role you played in the research being presented
Please combine all four documents in the above order into ONE PDF file, with the title of the PDF file being your last name followed by your first name (e.g. Doe_Jane.PDF).
After submitting your application, a page with a confirmation number will come up. Applicants will be notified about the awards via email in mid-February. If you do not receive a confirmation page, please contact the IBNS Central Office.
