2017 Travel AwardeesCongratulations to our selected 2017 Travel Awardees!

YOU can help scientists and researchers from all over the world!

The International Behavioral Neuroscience Society (IBNS) encourages research and education in the field of behavioral neuroscience. IBNS has members from all over the world and is made up of scientists, clinicians, teachers, students, and others with a background and/or interest in the relationship between behavior and the brain.

Your gift will give student and postdoctoral members the opportunity to attend our meeting and share their research.

We have an ambitious goal of raising $25,000!
$20,000 of donations will go towards competitive student and postdoctoral Travel Awards. An additional $5,000 will be allocated to Travel Awards for students and postdoctoral members from hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico.

*On the donation form, you have the option of donating to either the General Student Travel Fund or to the Puerto Rico Student Travel Fund -- or both! You also have the capability to choose more than one monetary donation under each fund (i.e. I choose Other $15 for General Student and I choose $25 and Other $10 for PR Student). There is not a one-time donation limit.*

Yes, I want to help.

How much would you like to give?
*Donations may be tax-deductible*

 Dear fellow members of IBNS,

I am writing to encourage you to support our campaign to raise funds in support of student travel to the IBNS meeting.

IBNS has a long history of supporting the career development of our student and post-doctoral members, and these travel awards have been an important part of that effort. I think this support is even more essential now. Current economic and political trends have resulted in decreased financial support for scientific endeavors, which are difficult for us as established scientists, but even more so for the next generation of scientists. For some of our students, such as those from Puerto Rico, this is an especially difficult year.

To help out our next generation of IBNS scientists, I encourage you each to donate what you can. We are especially grateful that two of our supporting corporate sponsors, Plexon and ThorLabs, have helped us launch this campaign with substantial donations ($3,000 and $2,000) to help Puerto Rican students attend the IBNS meeting.

Thank you for your continued support of our society and best wishes,

  F. Scott Hall
  President
